Haryana's Hotel Management Institutes To Boost Job Placements

Haryana's Tourism Minister, Kanwar Pal, announced that the state's Hotel Management Institutes will focus on securing job placements through campus interviews.

This initiative aims to help graduates find employment. He has directed the principals of these institutes to engage with as many private hotels as possible to facilitate this process.

A meeting chaired by the Principal Secretary of the Tourism Department took place on Tuesday. Attendees included the Director of Tourism, General Manager of Haryana Tourism Corporation, senior officials, and the principals of the five institutes. The meeting covered admissions and encouraged tree planting to maintain green campuses.

Minister Kanwar Pal highlighted that Haryana operates five Hotel Management Institutes located in Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Rohtak, Faridabad, and Panipat. These institutes offer a three-year BSc degree in Hospitality and Hotel Administration and a one-and-a-half-year diploma in Food Production, Food and Beverage Services, and Bakery.

Graduates from these courses can secure jobs in both private and public sectors. The minister emphasized the importance of connecting with private hotels to increase job opportunities for students completing these programs.

The meeting also discussed strategies to boost admissions in these institutes. Additionally, it was suggested that each institute should plant trees to enhance their green spaces. This initiative aims to promote environmental sustainability within the campuses.
