Haryana: Woman on scooter chased by two men in car for 3 km

Barely 72 hours after Varnika Kundu's nightmare on a Chandigarh street, a woman who was returning from office on a scooter was chased by two men in a car in Gurugram on Monday night.

According to the victim's complaint, the two men started chasing her after she had driven out of her office in Sector 18 (Gurugram) and continued across the near-empty stretch, on to the old Delhi-Gurugram road. The men repeatedly called out to her to stop and tried cornering her scooter. They finally gave up near Atul Kataria Chowk after she ignored them completely.

On Tuesday morning, the woman went straight to the police commissioner's office and filed her complaint after she was asked to go to Sector 18 police station instead of filing a complaint to the Sector 14 police station.

An FIR was filed against two unidentified men under Section 354D (stalking) of the IPC at Sector 14 police station. Meanwhile, police are yet to identify the accused or their car.
