Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has sanctioned a 43% increase in the stipend for MBBS interns. This applies to all government and private institutes affiliated with Pandit Bhagwat Dayal Sharma University of Health Sciences, Rohtak. The new stipend amount is Rs 24,310.
The last revision of the internship stipend occurred in 2018. At that time, it was raised from Rs 12,000 to Rs 17,000 per month. Now, the Chief Minister has approved another revision, increasing the stipend to Rs 24,310 per month.

A government spokesman provided details about this decision. He stated that the Haryana Government is dedicated to supporting its medical interns. The aim is to ensure their financial stability during their essential training period.
This increase in stipend will help alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by interns. It will enable them to concentrate more on their professional growth without worrying about monetary issues.
The revised stipend is expected to benefit a significant number of medical interns across Haryana. By easing their financial constraints, the government hopes to enhance their focus on acquiring practical skills and knowledge.
Overall, this move reflects the government's commitment to improving the conditions for medical trainees. It underscores the importance of providing adequate support to those in crucial stages of their medical careers.
This decision aligns with broader efforts to improve healthcare education and training in the state. By ensuring better financial support for interns, the government aims to foster a more conducive learning environment.
The increased stipend is seen as a positive step towards addressing the needs of medical interns. It highlights the government's recognition of the challenges faced by these young professionals during their training period.
In conclusion, Haryana's decision to raise the stipend for MBBS interns demonstrates a commitment to supporting future healthcare professionals. This financial boost will help them focus on their training and development without undue financial stress.
