Farooq Abdullah Reacts To Rajnath Singh's PoK Merger Remark, Says Pak Will Hurl Atom Bomb On People Of J&K

Reacting to Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh's recent comments on Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) merger with India remark, National Conference supremo and former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah said Pakistan is "also not wearing bangles" and possesses the atomic bomb, and we should think about that seriously. Worrying about the people of his J&K, Abdullah said that if Pakistan hurls Atom bomb, it will "fall on us".

The reaction came in after Rajnath Singh had said that India "won't have to capture the Pakistan-occupied Kashmir with force as its people would themselves want to be a part of India."

"If the defence minister is saying it then go ahead. Who are we to stop. But remember, they (Pakistan) are also not wearing bangles. It has atom bombs, and unfortunately, that atom bomb will fall on us," Abdullah added.

When asked about the recent terror attack in Poonch district, in which, one AIF soldier died and 4 got injured, senior NC leader expressed concerns over the "resurgence of militancy".

According to reports, the cowardly terror attack at Indian Air Force (IAF) convoy happened weeks ahead of the third phase of voting, in which, Anantnag-Rajouri Lok Sabha constituency will also undergo polling.

"I have time and again warned but the BJP is not ready to accept the reality. In the last four years or so, the areas which had been freed from terrorism, are seeing a resurgence of militancy, especially Srinagar city, which has witnessed repeated terror attacks, and Rajouri and Poonch," Abdullah said.
