Nearly 16 crore voters were eligible to vote during the five assembly elections in Mizoram, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Telangana held this month.
Polls in the five states had 8.2 crore male and 7.8 crore female voters out of which 60.2 lakh people are first-time voters.
These elections are seen as the semi-final for the general elections of 2024. As a result, both the BJP and the Congress have given high importance to the polls. While the results of the five state elections will be announced on December 3, the exit poll results, opinion polls and other survey reports from leading publications are finally out today.
