Shukla's Controversial Past
Shukla's appointment as the DGP has raised concerns due to her involvement in phone tapping cases during the previous Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government's tenure. She was named as an accused in these cases, and the Bombay High Court quashed two FIRs registered against her in September 2023.
Khadse's Expectations from Shukla
Despite his reservations, Khadse expressed his hope that Shukla would discharge her duties within the legal framework. He urged her to remain cautious and avoid any illegal activities, especially considering the upcoming elections.
