Earthquake Tremors In Delhi-NCR After Magnitude 6.2 Magnitude Quake Hits Afghanistan
Earthquake tremors jolted Delhi and adjoining areas on Thursday afternoon, originating in the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir. The National Capital Region, including Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gurugram, also felt the earthquake tremors. The tremors, also felt in the southern part of the Pir Panchal range, reportedly reached Lahore in Pakistan.
There were no immediate reports of any injury or destruction.

According to initial estimates, the earthquake had an epicenter in the Hindukush region and measured a substantial 6.2 on the Richter scale. Further details and potential impact are still emerging.
"Earthquake of Magnitude:6.1, Occurred on 11-01-2024, 14:50:24 IST, Lat: 36.48 & Long: 70.45, Depth: 220 Km ,Location: Afghanistan," said National Center for Seismology in a post on X.
