'Don't Behave Like Rahul Gandhi Did In Lok Sabha': PM Modi In Key NDA Meet
Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired the parliamentary party meeting of NDA on Tuesday, marking his first address to the ruling bloc's MPs since beginning his third term in office.
During the meeting, he advised NDA MPs against behavior similar to that of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha. Modi, while targeting the Opposition, also said their 'restlessness' is due to the fact that after Jawaharlal Nehru a 'tea seller' has been elected as the PM for the third consecutive term.

The meeting occurred amid discussions in both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on the Motion of Thanks to President Droupadi Murmu's address to Parliament. Following the meeting, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju relayed the PM's guidance, stressing that every MP's foremost responsibility is national service regardless of party affiliation.
Modi instructed MPs to effectively represent their constituencies within parliamentary rules and to develop expertise in key national issues.
Modi also encouraged MPs and their families to visit the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya, stressing its non-political significance in promoting awareness of past prime ministers' contributions and fostering national appreciation and learning.
Reflecting on the meeting, Union Minister and LJP leader Chirag Paswan underscored the importance of upholding parliamentary traditions based on the Prime Minister's counsel. Later in the day, Modi was scheduled to respond to debates in both houses of Parliament.
Official sources confirmed that all BJP and allied MPs were notified and urged to attend the meeting, which is significant given the BJP's reliance on allies following a loss of majority in the Lok Sabha for the first time since 2014.
The parliamentary sessions have been eventful this time, with debates on the President's address seeing heated exchanges.
PM Modi slammed Rahul Gandhi for remarks he deemed as branding the "entire Hindu community as violent", prompting calls for an apology from Home Minister Amit Shah and further political responses from both BJP and Congress.
