DMK Supremo, Former Tamil Nadu CM M Karunanidhi Celebrates Birthday Today, Turns 91

Chennai, June 3: DMK President M Karunanidhi today turned 91 as scores of party cadres celebrated the occasion by distributing sweets across the state.

The party supremo began the day by paying homage at the memorial of his mentor, DMK founder C N Annadurai here. Senior DMK leaders, party functionaries and people from different walks of life lined up at his Gopalapuram residence to greet him on the occasion.

He would meet hundreds of party workers at the party headquarters Anna Arivalayam. In the evening he is scheduled to address a public meeting at Royapettah here where a giant stage similar to his house at his birthplace Thirukuvalai has been set up to mark the occasion.
