Delhi shamed again: 18-year-old gangraped in national capital

New Delhi, Dec 20: In the same month of December when Nirbhaya was gang raped in Delhi, yet another incident has come to fore which has shamed Delhi yet again. The incidents of rape, sexual harrasment etc continue to happen in the national capital.

An 18-year-old girl was allegedly raped by two of her acquaintances, who took her to a secluded place on the pretext of celebrating her birthday, police said on Saturday.

Police have registered a case of

against the duo after the victim registered a complaint at R K Puram Police Station last night and efforts are on to trace them.

According to the girl's complaint, the two accused befriended her after assuring her of providing a job through a placement agency.

"It was her 18th birthday yesterday and the two men took her with them on the pretext of celebrating it and gangraped her," said a police official quoting the victim's complaint.

The girl was sent for a medical examination and a manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
