Delhi Police Detains 10 Trinamool MPs Sit On 24-Hour Dharna Outside Election Commission Office
To raise their voice against the alleged misuse of Central agencies, a 10-member delegation of Trinamool Congress (TMC) including Members of Parliament and senior party leaders, staged a protest outside the Election Commission of India headquarters on Monday. According to the reports, the TMC leaders were demanding to meet the full -bench of the poll body to complain against the BJP-led Central government which allegedly has been conspiring and trying to detain Opposition leaders without any charges.
The protesting TMC leaders also demanded to change chiefs of NIA, CBI, ED, and Income Tax.

TMC Rajya Sabha MP Derek O'Brien led the protest outside the ECI office. He was joined by TMC leaders Dola Sen, Sagarika Ghosh, Saket Gokhale, and Shantanu Sen, who were holding placards in their hands that read: "A 24-hour peaceful protest" "Change NIA, CBI, ED, and Income Tax Chiefs."
Speaking to the media, TMC MP Dola Sen said, "We have appealed to the Election Commission to change the chiefs of NIA, CBI, ED, and Income Tax and we are sitting on a 24-hour peaceful protest with this demand."
However, the Delhi Police detained all TMC protesters from outside the Election Commission's Headquarters.
