Court Summons Rahul Gandhi, Siddaramaiah Over Allegations Of ‘40% Commission' Against BJP
Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, his deputy DK Shivakumar, and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi have been summoned by a court over the party's allegations of "40 per cent commission" by the previous BJP government.
In the run-up to the Karnataka Assembly elections last year, the BJP government was attacked by Congress using their allegations, and "PayCM" posters with former Chief Minister Basavraj Bommai's visage were even displayed.

A complaint against the Congress leaders over the advertisements was filed by Vinod Kumar, a lawyer from the BJP's legal unit, leading to their summons to appear before a special MP/MLA court on March 28, as per India Today reports.
Last week, the state government was asked by the Karnataka High Court to complete the probe into the "40 per cent commission" allegations within six weeks.
Three months after the allegations were made, a judicial probe was ordered into them by the Congress government that came to power in Karnataka in May last year.
Notably, the Karnataka government was criticized last week by Union Minister Pralhad Joshi, stating that instead of 40 per cent, the Congress regime takes 50 per cent commissions, reported India Today.
His remark came days after allegations of corruption against his own party were leveled by Congress leader and former minister B Shivaramu. Shivaramu claimed that while the previous BJP regime in the state was targeted over corruption, the situation has worsened under the Congress.
