Congress failed the people of Amethi: Smriti Irani

Lucknow, May 26: Union Human Resource Development Minister Smriti Irani on Tuesday said that Congress had failed the people of Amethi.

She was addressing a rally in Amethi, the constituency of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi, to highlight the NDA government's achievements on completion of its one year.

Lambasting the previous Congress government for its failures , Irani said that her government had started the Amethi-Unchahar railway line project.

"We have given the people of Amethi a railway line between Amethi-Unchachar on May 25. What could not be done in the last 10 years was done by the NDA government in the past one year," she said.
