Class 2 Boy "Sacrificed" for School's "Success," Director, Staff Held
In a chilling incident at Hathras, Uttar Pradesh, an 11-year-old boy, Kritarth, was murdered in what police have described as a "black magic" ritual aimed at bringing prosperity to DL Public School at Rasgawan. The boy, a class 2 student at the private school, met his tragic end earlier this week within the confines of the school hostel. Authorities have taken into custody five individuals connected to the school, including its owner, Jasodhan Singh, and his son Dinesh Baghel, who serves as the school's director, along with three teachers.

Investigations have uncovered that the accused harbored beliefs in "black magic" and initially intended to carry out the heinous act near a tubewell outside the school premises. The plan was thwarted when Kritarth began to scream while being led out of the hostel, prompting the accused to strangle him to death instead. This horrifying act was not their first attempt at such a ritual; they had previously attempted to sacrifice another 9-year-old student on September 6, albeit unsuccessfully.
The dreadful sequence of events came to light when Krishan Kushwaha, the victim's father, was notified by the school administration that his son was unwell. Upon his arrival at the school, he was informed that the school director had transported his son to a hospital. Tragically, Kushwaha later found his son's body in Baghel's car. "I received a call from the school administration on Monday informing me that my son had fallen ill," Krishan Kushwaha stated, recounting the harrowing ordeal.
Further examination of the area surrounding the school revealed objects associated with "black magic" practices, bolstering the police's case against the accused. The community is grappling with the shock and horror of the crime, especially given its connection to a local educational institution and the involvement of its staff and management. The arrests have brought some relief to the local residents, but the incident has left a lasting impact on the psyche of the community.
