Sonia Gandhi becomes reel Shahrukh Khan
New Delhi, Dec 19: Congress President Sonia Gandhi seems to have become the reel Shahrukh Khan in reality. After the poll debacle in four crucial state assemblies, Mrs Gandhi seems to have been following the path shown by the Bollywood actor in his movie -- Chak De.

Shahrukh, who played the role of a coach of a women Hockey team, encouraged and guided the players to win a match against the most strongest team. With his magnificent speech at the end of the movie, Shahrukh left everyone speechless. Now, Mrs Gandhi also has been playing the role of a coach to encourage Congress leaders and workers to boost up them ahead of Lok Sabha election which is expected to be held by 2014.

During a meeting with party leaders, Mrs Gandhi accepted that Congress indeed is going through a rough phase. It witnessed defeat in the recently held assembly elections in Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. Experts believe that Congress may witness similar fate in the upcoming general election.

Sonia Gandhi encouraged Congress leaders, workers who are facing trying time

Now, encouraging the party leaders and workers, the Congress President said, "We are meeting in trying and challenging circumstances. The results of the recent assembly elections have been deeply disappointing."

Lifting the spirit of her troop, she added, "Let us all go from here mindful of the challenges ahead but also mindful of the fact that no odds are insurmountable for a party such as ours, for a party with our legacy, with our history and with our track record of achievement."

Continuing her speech, Mrs Gandhi said, "We are going into the causes of the defeat. There are many, but it is obvious that we have not been able to convince the people of our policies, programmes and achievements. We have not, it seems, been able to fulfill their aspirations."
