AAP candidate from Gurgaon Yogendra Yadav appealed to the EC for the same following a sting operation by a private TV channel recently exposing the bogus votes being prepared by a BLO in Gurgaon and other parts of the national capital region.
Yadav said as per the sting operation, the Gurgaon Lok Sabha constituency turns out to be the epicentre of this gross violation of electoral rolls and AAP expresses deep concern at gross violation of fundamental democratic franchise.
"Such a major case calls for drastic and exemplary action by the Election Commission," said Mr Yadav. After the sting operation, Gurgaon administration swung into operation and local police yesterday arrested three Booth Level Officers for preparing bogus votes here.
Yadav said that "Gurgaon local MLA and Haryana Minister Sukhbir Singh Kataria had allegedly prepared thousands of bogus votes in 2009 and six FIRs had already been lodged against him in this connection."
Despite various courts' directions, the police is delay-dallying the procession of investigation, alleged the AAP candidate.
