Buy clothes, households for Rs 10 at Ludhiana’s Neki Ki Dukan
Non-Government Organisation founded a showroon in Gill city in Ludhiana, in which one can buy clothes, households and other stuffs for just Rs 10!
Ludhiana, March 8: Inspired by the lines deewar-e meherbani (wall of help) which is written in Iran's Mashhad city where the people hang the used or unwanted stuff on the wall after which those things are distributed to the poor and needy, Ek Noor Sewa Kendra, a Ludhiana based Non-Government Organisation founded Neki Ki Dukan (shop of good deeds) in which one can buy a clothes, shoes and household items for just Rs 10. This shop is located in Gill's city of Ludhiana.
Gagandeep Kaur, a showroom volunteer said that they get stocks of old clothes and other items which can be repaired or washed before selling it to the people. She added that the showroom has recently received electronic goods, which are also kept for sale for the same price.
When asked about the maintenance of the showroom, she said that a Ludhiana-based business had donated the place and hence they don't need to pay the rent.
The interesting part about the shop is that it is opened only one hour per day -- 6 pm to 7 pm.
