Bomb threat to Kerala's Sri Krishna temple, security tightened

Guruvayoor (Kerala), Jul 21: Security has been tightened at the famous Sri Krishna temple here following a bomb hoax today, police said.

According to police, a person from Qatar telephoned the Circle Inspector here and said the shrine would be destroyed in a bomb blast within 24 hours.

The call was received in the wee hours, police said, adding security has been tightened in and around the temple. The bomb squad was also pressed into service in the area.

The Sri Krishna temple here is one of the state's main pilgrimage centres visited by millions every year.
