Bihar Journalist Murder Case: Police Arrests 4 Accused
The Bihar Police on Saturday took to imprisonment four people who were allegedly involved in the murder of a journalist in the Araria district.
Reportedly, the accused killed the victim at his residence on Friday by shooting him in the chest. The victim has been identified as Vimal Yadav, a journalist of Dainik Jagran.

According to the police, "Four of the accused, namely Vipin Yadav, Bhavesh Yadav, Ashish Yadav, and Umesh Yadav have been arrested. Two accused, namely Rupesh Yadav and Kranti Yadav have been convicted in Araria jail while the rest two have absconded."
The victim's father lodged a police complaint following which a case has been registered by the Bihar Police. It is also alleged that before Vimal Yadav, the accused killed his brother early in 2019 and Vimal was the prime witness in the case. This might be the reason they wanted to kill Vimal.
However, the murder of Vimal Yadav took the internet by storm. Expressing his concern over the Araria murder case, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar directed the officials to take strict action in investigating the issue.
Meanwhile, the leader of the Lok Janshakti Party, Chirag Paswan, took a dig at the Bihar CM over the lack of law and order in the state.
Taking to X, formerly Twitter, Bihar Police informed that the 35-year-old Vimal Yadav worked as a local journalist for the Dainik Jagran newspaper. The criminals reached his home around 5:30 am, called him out, and shot him in the chest.
The Bihar Police further informed, "The Police on receiving the information reached the spot within five minutes after the incident took place to investigate the matter. The Superintendent of Police, Araria also visited the spot."
