Astronaut Captures Stunning Images Of Cyclone Biparjoy From Space Station: Watch
As Gujarat prepares for the arrival of Cyclone Biparjoy, set to make landfall near Jakhau port this evening, an astronaut stationed at the International Space Station has shared images of the powerful cyclonic storm from space.
The cyclone is currently positioned less than 120 kilometers away from the Gujarat coast. Sultan Al Neyadi, an astronaut from the United Arab Emirates (UAE), took to Twitter to post several pictures of Cyclone Biparjoy over the Arabian Sea. In light of the approaching cyclone, the Dwarkadhish Temple in Devbhumi Dwarka has been closed for devotees today.

"As promised in my previous video, here are some pictures of the cyclone #Biparjoy forming in the Arabian Sea that I clicked over two days from the International Space Station," Al Neyadi tweeted.

Taking precautions, the Western Railway has announced the cancellation or short-termination of several train services. In the interest of passenger safety and smooth operations, seven trains have been cancelled, three trains have been short-terminated, and four services have been short-originated as the cyclone approaches the Gujarat coast.
Earlier, Al Neyadi shared a video showcasing the formation of the massive storm over the Arabian Sea as it approached the Indian coast.
"Watch as a tropical cyclone forms over the Arabian Sea from these views I captured. The ISS provides a unique perspective on several natural phenomena, which can assist experts on Earth in weather monitoring. Stay safe, everyone!" he wrote.
