Assembly Elections 2024: Maharashtra Records 32.18% Slow Voter Turnout; 47.92% Voted In Jharkhand Till 1pm
Maharashtra witnessed a low voter turnout of 32.18% during its single-phase assembly elections, while Jharkhand's second phase saw a turnout of 47.92% by 1 pm, as per the Election Commission of India (ECI). Gadchiroli district in Maharashtra, known for naxal activities, recorded the highest turnout at 50.89%. Conversely, Mumbai city had the lowest participation with only 27.73% of voters casting their ballots.
In Maharashtra, several districts reported varying levels of voter engagement. Mumbai Suburban had a turnout of 30.43%, Nagpur 31.65%, and Thane 28.35%. Aurangabad saw 33.89% voter participation, Pune recorded 29.03%, and Nashik had a turnout of 32.30%. Satara and Kolhapur registered turnouts of 34.78% and 38.56%, respectively.

Voter Turnout in Maharashtra Districts
Dhule experienced a voter turnout of 34.05%, while Palghar recorded 33.40%. Ratnagiri and Nanded saw turnouts of 38.52% and 28.15%, respectively, with Latur at 33.27%. Sindhudurg reported a turnout of 38.34%, Wardha at 34.55%, and Osmanabad at 31.75%. Washim had a participation rate of 29.31%, Yavatmal at 34.10%, and Solapur at 29.44%.
Sangli's voter turnout was noted at 33.50%, Ahmednagar at 32.90%, Akola at 29.87%, and Amravati at 31.32%. Beed recorded a turnout of 32.58%, Bhandara at 35.06%, Buldhana at 32.91%, Chandrapur at 35.54%, Gondiya at an impressive rate of 40.46%, Hingoli at 35.97%, Jalgaon at just 27.88%, Jalna at 36.42%, Nandurbar at a notable rate of 37.40%, Parbhani
