New Delhi, July 28: President of India, Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and many others paid tribute to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam on Tuesday, July 28.

Dr Kalam's body was flown from Guwahati to Delhi on Indian Air Force (IAF) aircraft C-130. Dr Kalam, the most popular President of India, passed away on Monday.

He collapsed on dais while delivering a speech at Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Shillong, Meghalaya. Later he was declared dead when he was rushed to a hospital.

Earlier Meghalaya Governor V Shanmughanathan, Home Minister Roshan Warjri, Assembly Speaker Abu Taher Mondal and Director General of Civil Defence and Home Guards RK Sharma accompanied Kalam's body.

Pranab Mukherjee pays tribute to Dr Kalam

President of India, Pranab Mukherjee paid his last tribute to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

He told, "I received 2-3 poems which he wrote, used to quietly write when we went to pay respects to soldiers."

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi paid his respect to Dr Kalam.

Kalam passed away in Shillong on Monday, July 27.

3 Service Chiefs pay tribute to Dr Kalam
