Another Son-Rise? Kartikey Singh Chouhan Likely To Replace Father Shivraj In MP Politics
The political developments in Madhya Pradesh have taken an interesting turn with Shivraj Singh Chouhan's induction into Prime Minister Narendra Modi's cabinet as the Union Agriculture Minister. His departure to Delhi has stirred discussions about the rise of his son, Kartikey Singh Chouhan, especially regarding the Budhni Assembly seat vacated by his father.
Shivraj Singh Chouhan led a grand roadshow in Bhopal, which saw massive crowds of supporters, underscoring his continued popularity. The roadshow was a testament to the people's admiration for the leader.

This was followed by a workers' gratitude conference in Bherunda, Sehore, where Kartikey Chouhan and his mother, Sadhana Singh, thanked the people for their support. Shivraj Singh Chouhan addressed the gathering via video conferencing, acknowledging his gratitude for the people's love and respect.
"It is because of your love and respect that I have reached here. I bow at your feet. Due to my busy schedule, I could not come, but I will definitely come next week. Development work will continue uninterrupted," he assured.
Kartikey, during his address at the conference, highlighted the overwhelming support from the Budhni Assembly constituency, where his father had secured a significant victory with a margin of 1.5 lakh votes. He used this platform to discuss various issues with the workers and reflect on the challenges faced during the 2023 elections.
He also spoke about his father's popularity, noting that Shivraj's influence has only grown, making him one of the most respected leaders in the country, reported NDTV.
"Our leader (Shivraj) was popular even as Chief Minister, and he became more popular when he was not the Chief Minister. After such a huge victory, today even the entire Delhi bows down. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, our leader Shivraj Singh Chauhan is counted among the biggest leaders in the country," said Kartikey.
The event was attended by several officials, including the BJP District President, further fueling speculation that Kartikey might be fielded from the Budhni Assembly seat. This potential move could strengthen the Chouhan family's political influence in the region.
On the other hand, Congress' Digvijaya Singh, who recently lost from Raghogarh in the Lok Sabha polls, made light of Kartikey Chouhan's remarks, indicating the ongoing political rivalry.
"If Shivraj's popularity truly extends from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, BJP leaders should acknowledge this and consider promoting Shivraj to the position of Prime Minister," Singh said.
As political circles buzz with these developments, the potential rise of Kartikey Chouhan in Madhya Pradesh politics remains a topic of significant interest, particularly with the possibility of him contesting from the Budhni. This move could be strategic for the BJP to consolidate its position and maintain its influence in the region.
