Amid Bangladesh Political Turmoil, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee Appeals To Maintain Peace
Reacting to political turmoil in neighboring country Bangladesh, West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee said, "The Government of India will decide on how to approach this issue and appeals to leaders of all political parties to refrain from making provocative comments that may disrupt peace in Bengal or the country. Some BJP leaders have already commented on it. It should not be done."
West Bengal CM appealed to the people of Bengal to maintain peace.

"Do not pay attention to any kind of rumours. This is a matter between two countries, we will support whatever decision the Central government takes," TMC chief and West Bengal CM said.
According to the reports, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has tendered her resignation following violent protests against her government. It is reported that she landed in India and is enroute to London.
However, senior official from the Bangladesh Prime Minister's Office, who requested anonymity, told ANI that she has left the official residence in Dhaka after violence erupted.
"Her current whereabouts are unknown. The situation in Dhaka is highly sensitive, and the Prime Minister's residence is under siege by a mob," the official said.
