AISSEE 2025: Last Chance To Apply For Sainik School Entrance Exam; Window Closes Today
The extended registration and application window for the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE 2025) will close today, January 23, at 5 pm, according to a Hindustan Times report. Candidates and parents can complete the application process for Class 6 and Class 9 entrance exams on the official website: exams.nta.ac.in/AISSEE.
The original deadline of January 13 was extended to accommodate more applicants. Candidates can pay the application fee until January 24. Additionally, an application correction window will be available from January 26 to 28.

AISSEE 2025: Application Fees
Rs 800: General, OBC-NCL, defence, and ex-servicemen category candidates.
Rs 650: SC and ST category candidates.
AISSEE 2025: Exam Details
The AISSEE 2025 will be conducted offline using OMR sheets in 190 cities across India. The exam date and admit card release date will be announced later.
AISSEE 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Class 6:
Age: Candidates must be 10-12 years old as of 31 March 2025. This includes those born between 1 April 2013 and 31 March 2015 (both days inclusive).
Girls: Eligible to apply for admission to all Sainik Schools. The information bulletin includes the number of seats for female candidates in each school.
Class 9:
Age: Candidates must be 13-15 years old as of 31 March 2025. This includes those born between 1 April 2010 and 31 March 2012.
Qualification: Applicants must have passed Class 8 from a recognised school.
Girls: Admission is subject to seat availability.
AISSEE 2025: Exam Format
Class 6:
Duration: 2 pm to 4:30 pm (150 minutes).
Questions: 125 total, covering Language, Mathematics, Intelligence, and General Knowledge.
Marks Distribution:
Language, Intelligence, General Knowledge: 50 marks each (2 marks per question).
Mathematics: 150 marks (50 questions).
Class 9:
Duration: 2 pm to 5 pm (180 minutes).
Questions: 150 total, covering Mathematics, Intelligence, English, General Science, and Social Science.
Marks Distribution:
Mathematics: 200 marks (50 questions, 4 marks each).
Other Sections: 50 marks each (25 questions, 2 marks each).
