Suicide Shocker: Kanda's lawyer turns hostile, slaps air hostess Geetika Sharma's bro in court

case once again made headlines and this time the case came into notice for the lawyer of the main accused Gopal Goyal Kanda, who is known as Gopal Kanda.

Kanda's lawyer on Wednesday, Aug 20 became hostile in a court premise and slapped Geetika's brother. Media reports suggested that the incident took place in the court which was hearing arguments of both sides over the date of next hearing. The judge, who was hearing the argument, was not present in the court room when the shocking incident took place.

Kanda, who was forced to resign as the Home Minister of State in Haryana, was the main accused in air hostess Geetika Sharma suicide case. Kanda along with his key aide Aruna Chaddha was arrested in 2012.

23-year-old Geetika, who committed suicide, left a suicide note accusing the duo of harassing her. Both Kanda and Chaddha were charged with abetting suicide, criminal conspiracy, forgery and hacking computers and sending offensive or false messages.

The trial court had on March 04 granted bail to Kanda while observing that he was in judicial custody since August 2012. Kanda later formed his own party -- Haryana Lokhit Party (HLP). He withdrew his support from Bhupinder Singh Hooda-led Congress government in Haryana.
