Air India too takes part in J-K flood relief, see how

The 21 inflatable boats, weighing 100 kilos, were donated by a "good samaritan" and were flown in a direct flight from New York to New Delhi, from where they were transported to Srinagar.
It needs to be mentioned that Air India had earlier too, carried 15 boats for the Indian armed forces for evacuation purpose. It had also transported 20 tonnes of relief material including medicines, blankets, cooked food, and chlorine tablets from New Delhi to Srinagar. It had been flying in relief materials to Leh too and transporting paramilitary personnel for rescue operations.
