AIADMK MLAs to give one-month salary to JK flood relief fund

Legislators today decided to contribute their one month's salaries to the

Flood Relief Fund.

Deputy Legislature party leader A Anbalagan, who announced the members' resolve during Zero Hour, said the floods which had claimed several lives and caused extensive devastation in Jammu and Kashmir was heart-rending.

"On humanitarian grounds, we intend to contribute our one-month's salaries to the fund as the stranded people there should be taken care of," he said and requested Chief Minister N Rangasamy to announce the government's contribution to the fund. Rangasamy welcomed the members' suggestion.
