After Performing Well In Elections, Clamour Grows In Congress For Rahul Gandhi To Do This Next

In view to powerful performance by Congress-led INDIA Bloc in the recent Lok Sabha Election 2024, workers of the grand old party have started raising demand that MP Rahul Gandhi should take the position of Leader of Opposition, and lead the much stronger pact from the front in parliament against the Narendra Modi government.

Party workers have also noticed MP Rahul Gandhi's rapidly increasing popularity among the youth of this country and how bravely he took on the Modi government on every social issue. Credited to countrywide Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra, a social connect initiative by the Congress party, Rahul Gandhi evolved as a much better, more powerful, and popular leader. In his two stints, Rahul Gandhi walked more than ten thousand kilometers.

In 2014, senior leader and now Congress chief, Malliakarjun Kharge was the leader of the Opposition and in 2019, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was given the responsibility. However, now Congress workers want Rahul Gandhi to be the party's voice and flag people's real issues in the Parliament.

The results of Lok Sabha Election 2024 have indicated a new rise of Congress under Rahul Gandhi's leadership and Malliakarjun Kharge's mentorship. Congress took a leapfrog from 55 to 100 seats this time.

With Congress' 100, the Samajwadi Party (37) emerged as the biggest party in Uttar Pradesh, which played a big role in restricting BJP. Mamata Banerjee's TMC and Tejaswi Yadav's RJD have also played major roles in giving a tough fight to the ruling Narendra Modi government.

Notably, the INDIA Bloc has not given up on the possibility of number game and forming the government yet.
