After marksheets, minister RS Katheria faked work experience too?

A chargesheet against the 20-day old junior minister of state, education, stated that he has not only forged two university marksheets to land a teaching job at Agra University, but also a work experience document.

The minister, however, said,"If the charges are proven, I will not just resign as minister but also as a parliamentarian."

The second charge on him states that he has falsely claimed to have worked in an Etawah college as a Reader for 3 years since 1999. The state police alleges that investigations show that he never worked at the Etawah College.

Naming it a political vendetta by the rival Bahujan Samaj Party candidate who lost narrowly to him in the 2009 national elections. In fact, in 2012, the Allahabad High Court dismissed Mr Katheria's attempt at getting the case quashed and directed the Agra sessions court to resolve it as soon as possible.

Katheria has mentioned just one case out of 21 cases in his election affidavit. If the charges are proved against him, he may have to serve a jail term of 7 years.
