Actor Akhil Mishra Of '3 Idiots' Fame Passes Away

Actor Akhil Mishra, who played the role of a librarian named Dubey in the blockbuster movie '3 Idiots' passed away on Tuesday. He was 58.

According to reports, he slipped in his kitchen and hurt his head. A source close to IANS said, "It was an accident. He was found injured on the floor in the kitchen and died in the hospital. And now the body has been taken for autopsy. We are waiting for the reports."

At the time of the incident, his wife Suzanne was shooting in Hyderabad.

Who Was Akhil Mishra?
Born in 1965, Akhil Mishra was part of movies such as 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi', 'Gandhi, My Father' and television serials such as 'Pradhanmantri'. However, he earned popularity in his small role of a librarian named Dubey in '3 Idiots'. Also, the role of Umed Singh Bundela in 'Uttaran' starring Tina Datta and Rashami Desai.

Akhil's first marriage was to Manju Mishra in 1983, who co-starred with him in his debut feature film 'Dhat Tere...Ki' and the serial 'Grihalakshmi Ka Jinn'. Following Manju's passing in 1997, he tied the knot with German actress Suzanne Bernert in February 2009.

Suzanne is recognized for her roles in 'Ramdhanu - The Rainbow' and 'Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd'. She has also made appearances in the TV show 'Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai' and portrayed Sonia Gandhi in the television series '7 RCR' and in the Hindi film 'The Accidental Prime Minister'.
