4 Congress MLAs to give a miss to Congress legislative meeting?
Four Congress MLAs are missing from the political scene ahead of Congress legislative meeting at Karnataka Party Congress Committee office in Bengaluru on Wednesday. Out of 78 MLAs only 66 have reached the KPCC office.
Hosapet MLA Anand Singh, Kodligi MLA Nandendra (Reddy's Bunda), Humnabad MLA Rajashekar B Patil and Afzalpur MLA MY Patil are reportedly not in touch with the Congress party leaders.
This development supports BJP's statement that four Congress MLAs are in touch with the saffron party. The BJP has 104 seats, needs 9 more seats to reach the magic number.
Besides, JD(S) MLAs Raja Venkatappa Nayaka and Venkata Rao Nadagouda are also missing from the JD(S) legislative party meeting which is going on in a hotel in Bengaluru.
Asked about BJP's tactics to poach party MLAs, JD(S) MLC Saravana says, " I don't know what they (BJP) are offering but they are trying to call our people, but they are not responding. We are all together, no one can touch our party. Our party MLAs are loyal to the party."
