X user Sudhakar Udumula shared the video on social media platform, formerly known as Twitter, and wrote, "Residents of Reddypuram Kovelakunta in Hanumakonda were taken aback today after discovering what they initially believed to be a dead body floating in the local pond. The man, later identified as a quarry worker from Kavali in Nellore District, was found lying motionless in the water from 7 am to 12 pm."

Responding swiftly to the distress call, Kakatiya University police arrived at the scene to investigate. To their surprise, upon closer inspection, they found that the supposed 'dead body' was actually a man who was very much alive. The man, identified later as a quarry worker from Kavali in Nellore District, had been lying in the water from 7 am to 12 pm to alleviate himself from the scorching heat.

The incident took an amusing turn when a video of the man waking up and emerging from the pond was shared widely on social media platforms, quickly going viral. In the video, shared by Sudhakar Udumula, the man is seen waking up as he is being pulled out by the police, causing a mixture of relief and amusement among onlookers.

According to reports, the man, exhausted after working continuously for 10 days at a granite quarry, had decided to take a refreshing dip in the pond but inadvertently fell asleep. His prolonged stillness in the water led to the mistaken assumption that he had drowned, triggering the emergency response, as reported by Hindustan Times.

Upon regaining consciousness and emerging from the pond, the man explained to authorities that he had simply been trying to cool off after a gruelling 12-hour shift. His unintended nap caused widespread concern among locals, who had observed him floating motionless for hours before alerting the police.

The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of accurate assessment in emergency situations, highlighting how initial assumptions can sometimes lead to unexpected outcomes and viral sensations on social media.
