Telangana man appeals to Vasundhara Raje to help find his wife

Hyderabad, April 26: A young man from Telangana whose wife has gone missing for nearly a month now, has appealed to Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje to held track her.

B Vinay Babu, a 29-year-old banker in Hyderabad said his wife was abducted a month ago by her family as they were opposed to an inter-caste marriage. Vinay's in-laws originally belong to Rajasthan and the former accused them of threatening to take her to the western state.

Vinay, who expressed worry over his wife's safety, met Mamata, 23, in Hyderabad and the two got married two months ago. Vijay said after the marriage, he and his wife approached the local police to share in in-laws' threats and the entire family was called for counselling thereafter.

Mamatha also allegedly filed a police complaint saying she was worried about threats from her family for going against them to marry a man.

The local police, however, refused to provide security and thereafter, Vinay said they were followed vy strangers. Mamatha disappeared last month while Vinay was away for work. According to eyetwitnesses, Mamatha was being forcibly taken away.
