Hyderabad Traffic Advisory

Traffic Restrictions

In the Hyderabad Police limits, restrictions will be enforced at various points such as Keshavagiri, Chandrayangutta crossroads, Engine Bowli, Shamsheergunj, Nagul Chintha, Himmathpura, Hari Bowli, Asra Hospital, Moghalpura, Lakkad Kote, Panch Mohala, Paris Café, Gulzar House, Mitti Ka Sher, Kali Kaman, Osman Bazaar and Sheran Hotel.

Additional restricted areas include Madina crossroads, Nayapul, SJ Rotary, Arman Hotel, MJ Bridge, DarulShifa Crossroads, City College and Shivaji bridge. Other affected areas are Afzalgunj, Putlibowli Crossroads and Troop Bazar.

Further Affected Areas

Traffic will also be controlled at Tope Khana Mosque and Alaska Hotel Junction. Other points include Osman gunj and Shanker Bagh. Seena Hotel and Ajantha Gate near Exhibition Grounds will also see restrictions. Abkari Lane and Taj Island are included in the list.

Chapel Road and AR Petrol Pump at KLK Building will face restrictions too. Additional areas include MJ Market and Khairatabad. GPO Abids and Liberty are also affected along with Ranigunj and Telugu Thalli Statue.

Public Transport Adjustments

The police have stated that no RTC buses will be allowed beyond Masab Tank or VV Statue during the immersion processions. Clock Tower and Chilkalguda crossroads are also restricted for RTC buses. Ramanthapur TV Station is another point of restriction.

Gaddiannaram and Chaderghat will not allow RTC buses either. IS Sadan and YMCA Narayanguda are included in this list as well as Tarnaka.

Alternative Routes

People travelling from RGIA or heading to the airport should avoid Necklace Road and Tank Bund. Main procession routes should also be avoided. Instead use PVNR Expressway or Outer Ring Road for a smoother journey.

If you are going to or coming from Secunderabad Railway Station use Begumpet or Paradise Flyover. St. John's Rotary is another suggested route along with Sangeeth crossroads.

The advisory aims to ensure smooth traffic flow during the Ganesh idol immersions while minimising inconvenience to commuters.
