Hyderabad Robbery Alert: 'Chudidar Gang' Steals Gold, Cash From Apartment

Hyderabad has witnessed the emergence of a new group of thieves, intriguingly named the "Chudidar Gang." This label comes from their unique disguise choice, opting to dress as women in chudidars during their criminal activities. A recent incident involving this gang was caught on CCTV, marking a concerning development in local criminal tactics.

On May 18, a burglary was reported by K Venateshwar Rao, a resident of Akruthi Arcade Apartment in Czech Colony, SR Nagar, Hyderabad. Rao and his family had left for Ongole, only for their maid to discover upon her arrival the next day that their apartment had been broken into. The police investigation revealed that two individuals, dressed in chudidars and masks, were responsible for the crime committed on May 18.

The culprits managed to steal four tolas of gold, Rs 1 lakh in cash, and a laptop from Rao's residence. Following the report, police have initiated an investigation into the burglary. This incident sheds light on the evolving methods of theft in the city, prompting both residents and law enforcement to stay vigilant against such deceptions.
