Bomb Threat To Tirupati Hotels

Several hotels in Tirupati have received bomb threats on Friday. As per the local police, three hotels have received emails although some reports claimed that it is four.

Tirupati East Police Station Circle Inspector Srinivasulu told ANI: "Three hotels received bomb threat alerts. An FIR has been registered regarding the email, and the case is being investigated from various angles. We will soon trace the culprits, and those behind the email will be identified after the investigation is completed."

A thorough check was carried out by the police personnel with sniffer dogs and found that there was no bomb. Thus it turned out to be a hoax.

The email had mentioned the name of Jaffer Sadiq, DMK functionary who was arresed by by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in a drugs case.

Days ago, a school in Hyderabad received a bomb threat email.
