AP Elections 2024: TDP And YSRCP Accused Of Distributing Condoms With Party Symbols

Andhra Pradesh's political landscape has sunk to new depths, with some likening it to the level of 'Nirodh.' As the Lok Sabha Elections 2024 approach, political parties are resorting to innovative tactics to attract voters and discredit their rivals.

Allegations have surfaced that both major parties in Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) and the Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), distributed condom packets bearing their respective party logos.

Reports suggest that YSRCP workers posted a video on social media accusing the TDP of distributing condoms with its party symbol. In response, the TDP accused the YSRCP of similar actions. Both parties are trading accusations of distributing condoms to voters aligned with their rival parties.

The YSR Congress Party shared the video on its official social media account, criticizing the TDP and asking, "Finally distributing condoms to people for their party campaign @JaiTDP. Where is the publicity madness? Will Next Share Viagras? At least stop there? Otherwise will further decline @ncbn @naralokesh @PawanKalyan?"

The Telugu Desam Party also responded with a video on its official social media account, saying, "Why are you shouting about preparation..readiness? Instead of doing such vile campaigns, we can spend money on corpses."

The video was first released by the YSR Congress Party on its official social media account on Wednesday, February 21, around 4PM. The Telugu Desam Party responded with another video on its official social media on the same day, around 6PM.
