Upendra is back to direction after a decade with his latest venture UI. His last film Uppi 2 had hit the screens in 2015.

The Real Star has directed written the story and screenplay for the film which is produced by G. Manoharan and Sreekanth KP. Reeshma Nanaiah is playing the female lead in the movie which also has Nidhi Subbaiah playing an important role.

Sunny Leone, Sadhu Kokila, Jisshu Sengupta, Murali Sharma, Indrajit Lankesh, Om Sai Prakash, P Ravi Shankar and Achyuth Kumar are part of the cast. It is the last film of late director Guru Prasad, who died by suicide, last month.

The movie has Ajaneesh Loknath's music, Vijay Raj BG's editing and HC Venu's cinematography. The run-time of the movie is 132 minutes (2.12 hours).

Hype:
Whenever Upendra wears a directorial cap, people look forward to his movies. His latest film UI has garnered huge hype although he has not released a trailer.

Only one teaser called as 'Warner' has been released and met with fantastic response. UI is being released in Kannada, Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages on Friday.

UI is a dystopian science fiction action film. The concept of the movie global warming, inflation, COVID-19, unemployment, AI and wars - The World 2040.
