Producer Dil Raju is celebrating yet another box office triumph as Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, starring Venkatesh, continues its successful run. The film, which outperformed expectations, has turned out to be a major blockbuster, especially after the underwhelming performance of Game Changer.

Box Office Performance

The film has raked in an impressive ₹213.15 crore at the domestic box office, with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana alone contributing ₹192.05 crore. Karnataka added ₹14.94 crore to the tally, while Tamil Nadu and Kerala accounted for ₹2.21 crore and ₹12 lakh, respectively. The rest of India brought in ₹3.82 crore. The film's net collection in India stands at ₹180.95 crore.

Massive Digital Rights Deal with Zee5

Adding to the success, Dil Raju has secured a lucrative digital rights deal, selling the film to Zee5 for ₹30 crore. With this agreement, Sankranthiki Vasthunnam is set for an extended life on OTT, offering fans more than just a rewatch.

OTT Version to Feature Exclusive Content

The digital release on Zee5 is set to be bigger than the theatrical version, featuring never-before-seen deleted scenes. Director Anil Ravipudi had originally trimmed several comedic sequences to maintain a crisp runtime, but these will now be reinstated, including hilarious moments with Himesh Limaye and others.

Additionally, the OTT version will feature unseen flashback sequences starring Venkatesh and Meenakshi Chaudhary, adding further depth to the narrative. Given the film's strong reception, these extra scenes are expected to elevate the viewing experience.

The Telugu movie will be out on Saturday at 6 pm. It will be available in multiple languages.
