Salman Khan Sends Legal Notice To Kala Hiran Makers

Salman Khan’s lawyers have issued a legal notice to the team behind “Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy”, asking that the film’s release be stopped. The notice also demands that all posters, teasers and other promotional items for the project be taken down immediately.

The notice reportedly objects to the belief that “Kala Hiran” draws from the ongoing blackbuck poaching case associated with Salman Khan. It warns that further legal action could follow if the producers ignore these demands and continue with publicity or distribution plans for the film.

The blackbuck hunting case has trailed Salman Khan for many years, and “Kala Hiran” appears to echo that history through its title and theme. However, the makers have not clearly stated how closely the story mirrors real events linked to the actor’s legal battles.

Despite the legal challenge, Jani Firefox Media Private Limited has already revealed the first-look poster of “Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy”. The image shows a central figure in a tense, shadowed pose against bold red and blue colours, suggesting a stylised, suspense-heavy action narrative.

The film is produced by Amit Jani and directed by Bharat S Shrinate. The makers say the story takes inspiration from real legal conflicts and action-led incidents, and they describe the treatment as having an international style. The teaser is scheduled for release on 20 June.

Amit Jani has earlier backed projects centred on sensitive events, including a film inspired by the murder of tailor Kanhaiya Lal. Speaking about the current legal notice regarding “Kala Hiran”, Amit Jani has alleged that the move aims to frighten and pressure those working on the film.

According to Amit Jani, the legal step seeks to make people retreat because of Salman Khan’s influence in the industry. Salman Khan and the legal team have not responded publicly to these claims, leaving the future release of “Kala Hiran: The Battle for Legacy” uncertain for now.
