Nupur Alankar's Inspiring Journey from Television Fame to Spiritual Renunciation

The journey of Nupur Alankar, from a celebrated television actress to a spiritual seeker, is remarkable. The PMC Bank scam in 2019 severely impacted Nupur's finances. The bank's board was dissolved by the RBI, freezing accounts and imposing withdrawal restrictions. Nupur had to sell jewellery and borrow money from friends to make ends meet. This financial crisis was compounded by personal losses, including the deaths of her mother during Covid and her sister Jigyasa. These events led her to seek spiritual solace.

Nupur shared her experiences of living in caves with Tele Talk India: "Fought the mice biting and the cold in the caves." Despite these hardships, she found peace away from material concerns. In a 2025 interview with Mumbai Mirror, she expressed her dedication to God during those years and her return to Mumbai to guide others spiritually.
