Not Just Chikkanna, Another Actor Partied With Darshan Before Renuka Swamy's Murder - Who's He?

In a new development, it has been revealed that Kannada actor Darshan was partying with friends before his aides murdered Renuka Swamy on June 8.

According to media reports, Darshan was attending a party at Stonny Brook restaurant in RR Nagar. After Renuka Swamy was kidnapped from Chitradurga and locked in a shed in Kamakshi Palya by Darshan's aides, the actor left the party.

Who attended the party?

It has been confirmed that comedian Chikkanna was at the party. The investigating officers summoned him, and he appeared before the police on Monday.

The latest buzz is that actor Yashas Surya also attended the party. Some reports claim that it was his party, attended by Darshan, Pavithra Gowda, and others.

The police are believed to have summoned Yashas Surya as well.

Who is Yashas Surya?

Yashas Surya made his acting debut in 'Yugayuga Gale Sagali'. Since then, he has been identified with Darshan's camp. He has appeared in supporting roles in his movies such as 'Chingari', 'Chakravarthy', 'Odeya', etc. He did the role of Sahadeva, one among the Pandavas, in Darshan's blockbuster 'Kurukshetra'.

'Jilebi', 'Paramashiva', 'Psycho Shankar', 'Rama Dhanya', 'Chitte', and 'Odeya' are some of his movies. He graduated into hero with Yogaraj Bhat's 'Garadi'. It is interesting to note that Darshan had done a cameo in this flick as well.

His filmography clearly indicates that he shared a special bonding with the Challenging Star, but to what extent and whether he was connected to the murder in anyway has to be established during the investigation.

What Chikkanna Said After Appearing Before Cops?

After appearing before the officers, Chikkanna spoke to media but refused to give any details about the case. On asking who all attended the party, he said that the matter is being investigated now and he cannot spill the beans. He claimed that Darshan had called him for dinner and did not mention that it was "a party".

Renuka Swamy Murder Case

Renuka Swamy, a fan of Darshan, was reportedly upset with the actor's alleged affair with actress Pavithra Gowda, as he had expected Darshan to remain loyal to his wife, Vijaya Lakshmi. In his frustration, Swamy sent obscene messages to Pavithra Gowda, which angered the actor.

In response, Darshan allegedly ordered his aides to bring Swamy to Bengaluru.

Swamy was kidnapped, locked inside a shed in Kamakshi Palya, and brutally assaulted by Darshan's aides, leading to his death. His body was later disposed of in a drainage ditch in Sumanahalli, and three of the actor's aides surrendered to the police.

The accused claimed they murdered Renuka Swamy over a financial dispute, but their story was not convincing. Consequently, the investigation delved deeper, uncovering the connections between Darshan and Pavithra Gowda.

A total of 17 people have been arrested by the Bengaluru police.
