I Don’t Consume Beef: Kangana Ranaut Slams Maharashtra Cong Leader's Claims

Actress Kangana Ranaut, who is contesting from the Mandi constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, has slammed the claims made by Maharashtra Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar and said that she does not eat beef.

The actress, who has forayed into politics by joining the BJP, said that she has been advocating the Ayurvedic way of life for decades.

I Don t Consume Beef Kangana

"I don't consume beef or any other kind of red meat, it is shameful that completely baseless rumours are being spread about me, I have been advocating and promoting yogic and Ayurvedic way of life for decades now such tactics won't work to tarnish my image. My people know me and they know that I am a proud Hindu and nothing can ever mislead them, Jai Shri Ram," she wrote in a post on X.

Days ago, Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar claimed that the Bollywood actor Kangana Ranaut had once said that she ate beef.

Speaking at a rally, the leader of the opposition in the state assembly alleged that the Bollywood actress had written on Twitter (now X) that she liked and ate beef, and the BJP has now given her a ticket for the Lok Sabha elections.

Following the comments, the BJP slammed him and said the it reflected the Congress's "dirty culture". "This reflects Congress' dirty culture. It cannot fight us on issues. This shows the party's defeatist mentality," BJP spokesperson Keshav Upadhye said.

Since her candidacy was announced for the Mandi constituency, she has consistently made headlines for various reasons. Initially, Congress leader Supriya Shrinate made objectionable remarks, followed by her comments regarding Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, which further fueled media attention.

"Clarify me one thing for me, when we got independence, where did India's first prime minister Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose go?" Ranaut was heard saying in an interview.
