Good Bad Ugly Box Office Collection Day 1: Ajith Kumar's Tamil movie has taken a solid opening at the box office. The movie has been overwhelmingly received by fans across Tamil Nadu and a few parts of South India.
The Tamil version of the movie had an overall occupancy rate of 79.47% on the first day. Chennai, the main centre for Tamil movies, had 95.00% occupancy rate for 924 shows, as per Sacnilk.
Good Bad Ugly At Tamil Nadu Box Office
Apart from Chennai, other major cities in Tamil Nadu also witnessed extraordinary footfalls. Coimbatore reported an occupancy rate of 92.75%, while Madurai had an equally strong 90.00%. It is followed by Trichy (94.75) Notably, smaller towns like Dindigul (92.50%) and Vellore (90.00%) had an impressive turnout.
Outside Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry had an extraordinary response (94.50). Bengaluru had record number of shows and had an overall occupancy rate of 53.75%. In Kerala, Kochi and Trivandrum reported occupancy rates of 74.25% and 71.50%, respectively.
Among the North Indian market and Hindi centres, the Ajith-starrer recorded decent response in Mumbai (40.50%) and the National Capital Region (NCR) (39.75%).
How Much Has Good Bad Ugly Earned On Day 1?
The early estimation coming from trade indicates that Good Bad Ugly has earned approximately Rs 30 crore (nett) at the India box office. Tamil Nadu contributed the bulk of its revenue.
As per the estimation, the movie has made Rs 28.5 crore from its home territory alone. It is interesting to note that the movie has come out with such a performance on a working day.
With the movie getting mixed response, it has to be seen how Good Bad Ugly performs in the days to come.
The extraordinary occupancy rates in key regions signal a promising run over the weekend, with potential for an even higher collection on the second and third days. If the positive word-of-mouth continues, the film might sustain strong earnings throughout its first week, possibly setting new benchmarks for Tamil cinema in 2025.
