'Daredevil: Born Again' To Hit Screens On March 2025; Announced At Disney Upfront 2024
During the Disney Upfront 2024 event, Daredevil's Disney+Hotstar reboot was announced to launch sometime around March 2025. They also showed off a teaser trailer, but that was behind closed doors.
The original series aired on Netflix, simply titled 'Daredevil', starred Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock. The original also starred actors like Vincent D'Onofrio as 'Kingpin' and Jon Bernthal as 'The Punisher'.

The new Disney+ series also plans to cast actors from the Netflix series, as both Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio were present during the presentation. Only those two, however, have been listed as part of the cast on the official Disney+ website for the series. However, according to comicbookmovie.com, Jon Bernthal has been spotted on the set of 'Daredevil: Born Again' around early April. He was taking on the role of Frank Castle, complete with the outfit, the huge logo on his shift, and fake blood smeared across his face and arms.
The show was initially announced a couple years ago. In D23, 2022, the show was announced to have 18 episodes. Due to some changes in the creative direction, however, the number of episodes has been reduced. According to TVLine, Charlie Cox confirmed with the portal that only nine episodes have been filmed so far.
Disney also made some changes to the crew behind the series, putting in Dario Scardapane as the showrunner, as stated by The Hollywood Reporter. Scardapane produced 'The Punisher' series that was originally on Netflix before being shifted to Disney+. He will be joined by the co-directors and producers of the second season of 'Loki', Justin Benson and Aaron Moorhead.
