Shivaraj Kumar is back with Bhairathi Ranagal, a neo-noir action thriller film directed by Narthan. This is a prequel and a sequel to their hit movie Mufti.

Shivanna's wife Geetha is producing the movie, which also has Rahul Bose, Rukmini Vasanth, Devaraj, Chaya Singh, Madhu Guruswamy, Vasishta N. Simha, Shabeer Kallarakkal and Babu Hirannaiah play supporting roles.

The movie is releasing on the day (November 15), where Shivaraj Kumar's blockbuster movie Janumada Jodi 18 years ago in 1996.

The Kannada film has Ravi Basrur's music, Naveen Kumar's cinematography and Akash Hiremath's editing.

Bhairathi Ranagal delves into the origin story of Shiva Rajkumar's iconic character, exploring the journey of a law-abiding and principled lawyer who transforms into the feared mining-mafia king of Karnataka.

As a young boy in the village of Ronapura, Bhairathi Ranagal displays an unshakable sense of justice and a willingness to take drastic steps when wrongs go unpunished. This trait follows him into adulthood, where he confronts industrialist Parande (Rahul Bose) in a high-stakes legal battle. When lawful means fail, Bhairathi is forced to make life-altering decisions, paving the way for the gangster he becomes in Mufti (2017). The film's core unravels the motivations and events behind this dramatic transformation.
