For Hyderabad, Balaji said, "Dry during most of the day, passing short rains ahead during evening-night at a few places."
Despite the decrease in rain, strong gusty winds of 50-60 kmph would persist in Telangana, he added.
Hyderabad Expected To Receive Only Light Showers
Heavy rainfall has been witnessed in the past few days in Hyderabad and the weather is likely to be relatively calm. The IMD forecast calls for light occasional rainfall in the city till Tuesday, July 7.
The weather office has not alerted for any rain in Hyderabad and there are no severe weather conditions expected in the city in the coming days.
Sangareddy Records Highest Rainfall In State
The Telangana Development Planning Society (TDPS) data revealed that Sangareddy had the highest rainfall of 56.3 mm in the state on the day before.
In comparison, Hyderabad had received significantly lesser rainfall with 2.3 mm rainfall received in Saidabad. The latest figures indicate a significant disparity in intensity of rainfall across Telangana where the weather activity starts to weaken gradually.
