'Aranmanai 4' is a horror thriller directed by Sundar C. Tamannaah Bhatia and Rashi Khanna play lead roles in the flick.

Sundar C himself has played a key role. Santhosh Prathap, Ramachandra Raju, Kovai Sarala, Yogi Babu, Delhi Ganesh and others are in the cast.

The movie has Hiphop Tamizha's music, Fenny Oliver's editing and E Krishnasamy's cinematography.

Story

Saravanan (played by Sundar C) is a lawyer residing with his aunt (portrayed by Kovai Sarala). His world shatters when he receives the devastating news of his sister Selvi's (played by Tamannaah Bhatia) alleged suicide following her husband's demise. Driven by grief and suspicion, Saravanan sets off to Kovur to care for Selvi's children.

However, upon reaching Kovur, Saravanan discovers inconsistencies in the narrative surrounding Selvi's death. Determined to uncover the truth behind his sister's untimely demise, he embarks on a quest for answers. With the aid of the local physician, Maya (portrayed by Raashii Khanna), and the support of the villagers, Saravanan delves deeper into the mystery, unraveling a web of secrets and deceit.

Review

Sundar C masterfully embodies the character of Saravanan, portraying a sincere lawyer dedicated to safeguarding his sister's children with compelling conviction.

Tamannaah's portrayal of Selvi is truly remarkable. She skillfully portrays a devoted mother fiercely protective of her children, while also embodying a formidable spirit determined to ward off any threats to their safety. This role marks a departure from Tamannaah's previous characters, showcasing her versatility as an actress and her evident enjoyment in bringing this complex role to life on screen.

The comedy scenes thrive thanks to the comedians' natural humor, but what about the success of the horror elements? Here, Sundar C's meticulous research into spirits plays a crucial role. Centering his narrative around the Baak, a dreaded evil spirit from Assamese folklore, he weaves a storyline deeply rooted in authentic folklore, enhancing the fear factor.

Hip Hop Tamizha's music seamlessly complements the plot, with a particularly haunting lullaby that lingers in the audience's memory long after the film ends.
