'Animal' Rocks At Box Office On 1st Day: Check Top 5 Biggest Openers Of All Time In Bollywood

'Animal' has become the biggest opener of Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna's career. Released in over 4000 screens, the movie has done extremely well in North India, Mumbai along with a few other regions on day 1.

On the first day, the early estimation claimed that the movie had minted over Rs. 63.80 crore in India alone. It has now found the third place in the list of all-time biggest openers in Bollywood.

While the film's collections fall short of surpassing previous releases such as the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer 'Jawan', which amassed Rs 75 crore, the first-day business of 'Animal' does manage to outperform other releases.

Notably, it surpassed the first-day earnings of 'Pathaan' (Rs 57 cr), 'KGF - Chapter 2' (Rs 53.95 crore), 'War' (Rs 53.35 crore), 'Thugs Of Hindostan' (Rs '52.25' crore), 'Happy New Year' (Rs 44.97 crore), 'Tiger 3' (Rs 44.50 crore), 'Bharat' (Rs 42.30 crore), and even 'Baahubali 2 - The Conclusion' (Rs 41 crore).

The movie has opened to fairly positive reviews. On the second day too, the movie is registering a fantastic collection. The early estimates from trade trackers indicate that the movie will earn over Rs 50 crore on the day two as well.

It means the two-day collection of 'Animal' will be over Rs 113 crore.
